Addressing his fellow Indians from the Red Fort on 15th August 2014 the Prime Minister called for replacing the Planning Commission with another Institution that is in sync with the modern times and most importantly in sync with the aspirations of 21st century India. The Prime Minister also emphasized on the important role the states have to play in taking the nation forward.

This forum invites your innovative ideas on what shape will this proposed institution take in terms of structure, composition and area of functioning. Another area of focus that requires your inputs is how this proposed institution can enhance Centre-State coordination and thus become a true celebration of India’s Federal Structure.

there is no need to replace planning commission with any institutions. the soviet era is long gone. it is better to have ideas come from individuals or organisations who are experts in their own fields. let the vast bureaucracy implement and execute the proposals.

sir planning commission ki jagah esi sanstha banaye jo logo k sath judkar unki samasaya k hisab se unki unnati k liye kuch yojnaye banaye naki sirf kagaj k panno par apni suggestion likh kar usko proved kar de aur yojna ka fayda logo ko mila ya nhi iska bhi survey hona chahiye taki sarkar ko apni yojnao k bare me pata chale ki yeh yojna logo k beech kitni successful h. please think about it sir when you reform new institution

Honble PM declared that planning commission will be re-structured, along with change of its name. it is getting delayed now. after every election victory, expectations are rising for superpower india. The best name for this commission will be MAHASHAKTI BHARAT. it should have development wing and citizen friendly governance wing. it will be 30 member team, with PM as its captain and 29 chief ministers as other members. keep away english speaking intellectuals, otherwise it will also fail.

as per existing consitutional scheme, unless both central and state government move in tandem, on the reforms road map, it is very difficult, for the benefits to reach the people. all central assistance, outside consitutional scheme, should be in direct proportion to state government initiatives on governance reforms, to make it more business friendly, citizen friendly. citizens are forced to pay bribes, mostly by such departments, whcih is controlled by States. new body has to look into it.

Sir, in order to see result oriented planning we have to see a SWACHH BHARATH not only clean from dirt/garbage but also clean from corruption, alcohol,partiality, crimes prescribed in IPC, all evils those damaging youth and other sections of society, illegal trade practises, delay in justice, superstitions, loop holes in laws, any kind of descrimination etc,. Why can't we extend the scope of swacch bharath in these areas also. I think if we overcome from these evils our dreams may come true.

Planing should be at district level going from bottom to top not coming from top to bottom.An economist of high level must be appointed at district level. There should be planning committee at district level. Slowly a setup should be there that members from these district level are promoted to state level and national level.
