Misleading advertisements, tricks gullible consumer in purchasing the products and services which are often health hazards or substandard in quality, for example – various pills/food supplements, fairness creams, etc.  The Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India having its office at New Delhi, would not be able to check the menace of misleading advertisement without the active participation and help from the State Governments, local self-Governments and the Police department of the States. These authorities are expected to intensify their action against the misleading advertisements as also the misleading advertisers on their own or once altered by the voluntary consumer organizations.

Am ventilating my views here for want of another appropriate forum to help pensioners grievanceattended to / redressed without hassles. My grievance and struggle for nearly 13 years is not redressed by DOPPW but continue to be closed on flimsy reasons. nic advertises this as forum for getting grievance redressed. My grievance in essence is because of a poor drafting of OM of 29/23/2000 I am being denied a benefit whereas similarly placed have gone to CAT and HC and got the benefit I seek in vain!

Black money menace can be reduced with a rule to purchase petrol/diesel above Rs 3000/- by credit/debit cards only. This will save scarce foreign exchange and curb conspicuous consumption and curbing of black money use by effluent class.

there are many companies who say that they are number 1 in the business so to crack down such fake ad the state govt should take survey once or twice in a year n rate the companies. so if some other company makes a fake ad the company should be penalise n that amt would go in govt's a/c. so in this the govt and the consumer both would have benefit. it would control the fake ad n consumer will get right product.

National regulators should be on Municipal corporation. Funds, projects delays , performance etc should be monitored. They should be audited on cleanliness, development, amenties in city. Professional Should be hired to run them. Minimum govt interference and the department should be digitalized completely.
