Skill development should compulsorily include confidence and personality development amongst students. As most of the students when thrown in industrial wheel out of college gets nervous. And tend to forget everything. And at the end blame themselves that they are worth less and gets misguided. A proper counselling will make them stand under the threshold of ladder. I think that is we are upto. Now it's upto the student to climb or remain down on ground. Lav singh

More than one and a half century old Indian Education System prevailing years after Independence have weakened the structural growth of youths & then after for the survival. Every emphasis is made on just for higher studies irrelevant whether they would help in contribution in Nation's Economy or not. There arises the need of look after for the young generations to get skilled of their own, not only for livelyhood, but also to minimize government's burden to provide employment for its people.

Ministry of skill development and Entrepreneurship has started making good efforts. At state level no such organised efforts are being made.At least one Skill university shall be started at each state which may take care of organised efforts at state levels.Diploma Engineering Education shall be associated with skill development rather than associating with higher education system of UGC/AICTE.More emphasis shall be given to skill development with more weightage of practical.

The present Engineering education scenario is that an electrical Engr is not able to replace a bulb or a fuse in the carrier. A Mechanical engineer is not able to change a tap washer or a leaking hose. A civil engr is not able to do a proper concrete mixture or making a plastering on the wall or even painting on the wall. So the curriculum should give weightage of certain credits for this vocational skill development at all levels. An Engr can get degree only if he completes this skill sets.

Make skill development is compulsory for every student by adding vocational education as a part of the curriculum. Give more specializations of Education at +2 level itself as done in USA and other countries. it will help them to experiment his interest and freeze in a useful specialization of his passion.
