The NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in partnership with MyGov India, is thrilled to announce the electric vehicles Townhall, an open discussion platform for citizens to share valuable ideas and suggestions to promote and enhance the clean electric mobility ecosystem in India. The Townhall focuses on electric vehicles (EVs) and their associated advantages, including cost savings, clean air, health benefits, and emission reduction.

In line with this initiative, NITI Aayog in collaboration with MyGov, invites input from citizens.

Sir, a vision I see always that every households must send a able body child for safe guarding our nation then can have a stake on our country's resources. Farmers & Soldiers r first among nation creators but r most neglected ones on claiming over nation resources. A soldier becomes a security gaurd & a farmer becomes a tenant ones at the ending. Development must be a sustained ones but with a time bound ways & durable guaranty. Even under able Pm our development becoming destruction bcz of wrong integrity of politics & executives & judiciary. At such our destruction is inevitable as on whom we would keep reposting faith. Rampant destruction of our hills, forests & river bodies r damaging our planet & environment. Now Homosapiens have to become more sensible, caring & sharing if we want to a perennial progress of life & lives in this planet.EV vehicles & charging points can be easily made & tackled but unnecessary wars for ego satisfaction among nations r most stupid things to go on.tk

Dear NITI ayog bodies, now Rama lala has descended on Ayodhya & Rama Rajya has dawned on in Indian sub continent & our beloved Pm has made everything possible in our country, so also EV charging cum solar energy generation across length & breadth of our country which is now at infant stages as our industries syndicates view it very negatively bcz they see that their monopolies over energy generation cum production cum distribution cum revenue generation would face many challenges fm small time village based solar energy production farming by our crop farming farmers. That's what is impeding less encouragement fm our industry bodies. our govt must make our farmers a partner cum stakeholders before pulling their lands for multi purpose crop farmings cum solar farms. Then we would be able to save our planet.

The range of electric cars is increasing steadily with time. Now, there are models with range of 700 kilometers or above, charging time from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes and acceleration from 0 to 100 Kmph in about 5 seconds. But the price of such a model exceeds Rs. 60 Lakh. The cheapest models have range of only about 250 Kms and longer charging time (from 0 to 80%) of about 6 hours (with a 3.3 KWH charger) but still cost 8 to 10 lakh. So, there would not be many electric cars on the highways as yet, posing viability problems for the charging stations on highways. On the other hand, in city transport system, the low maintenance and fuel cost of electric buses are big advantages and charging stations also have good viability due to high concentration of vehicles. It would therefore be far more desirable and viable to start with public transport vehicles in the cities, where pollution poses the greatest danger due to very high population density.

The Town Hall invites community suggestions to enhance civic engagement and development. Residents are encouraged to share ideas for improving public services, infrastructure, and community programs. This collaborative approach fosters a sense of shared responsibility, empowering citizens to actively contribute to the betterment of their town.

Service road on the Highway closer to fuel pumps or popular good motels will be an ideal place for EV charging and service. This should be at a nominal cost. Government should start providing franchise by training people to handle electric vehicles. As the charging takes time, proper planning of space with multilevel parking facility with charging points closer to restaurants nearby will help the person to relax while the charging is done.

The charging infrastructure industry has aligned with a common standard called the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI) protocol with this hierarchy for charging stations: Location, EV charging port, Connector.

EV charging infrastructure is a move towards greener India. The charging should come exclusively from solar, wind, hydel to make it meaningful. How do we make the vehicle cost less specifically because of batteries is the biggest problem. Even today large manufacturers are still not ready with a robust model & price effective. We are moving towards environmentally effective solution but batteries disposal after 4 years, cost, quick charging, many outlets are major set backs. We make 28 scooters, 8 cars per minute how we can match the fuel requirements with renewable energy & quick delivery is crucial. Bio-fuel, hydrogen are great things to happen. But storage & carrying hydrogen with least weight of the container has to be extremely safe & hassle free. They say Need is the mother of all inventions. For eco friendly concepts scientific & engineering minds with cost effective solutions is need of the hour. Dependence on other countries is most expensive & drain of foreign exchange.
