In spite of providing facility for free immunization to the pregnant mothers, only 32.4% of ST mothers (lowest among all social groups) received advice about where to go if they experienced pregnancy complications.
1) What could be the reasons attributing to it?
2) What interventions would be required to achieve 100% coverage of immunisation of pregnant mothers amongst tribals?
3) What can be the role of various Ministries, agencies (of Government and Non-government) to achieve 100% coverage of immunisation.

We solicit some sharing of experiences and suggestions on the subject.

More details on the subject can be found here.

Implementation of education by providing training and awareness programmes regarding maternal and child health care. So they get knowledge about it and do implement in their life. All this should be gram panchayat level.

Free immunization is not the ultimate step in the process of providing MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH FOR TRIBALS. What is more important is to educate them about the civic senses and personal sanitation. It will only be possible if education is parted to them and bring them in the main stream of the life line of the country.Once educated always educated then implementation of any such policy will always give good results

Providing free ammunition and full coverage does not bring safe delivery.prevention of complication consists of intersectoral co ordination of proper eduction, age at marriage, prevention of anaemia providing nutrition. Involve husbands and mother in-laws in pregnant women care and awareness of complication in them.Use locally trained birth attendents.understand their local needs& problems and address them.

सरकारी प्रावधान बहुत है लेकिन शासकीय अमला कम कार्य कर रहा है क्योकि उनमें डर नहीं है एवं वे कार्यस्थल पर नही रहते है

The tribal leaders should be empowered to promote it. Since ST mothers may have child birth not in hospitals they maynot get the right information and awareness. The midwives should also be trained by govt.
