To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until August 15, 2023.

Develop a comprehensive evaluation framework covering teaching quality, research output, infrastructure, and more. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through self-assessment and action plans. Establish a National Accreditation Council (NAC) as an umbrella body for all accreditation agencies, such as NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and AICTE. The NAC will set the standards, guidelines, and benchmarks for accreditation and ranking of HEIs. Create a common platform for data collection, verification, and analysis for all accreditation and ranking agencies. The platform will use artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cloud computing to ensure data security, integrity, and transparency. Simplify and rationalize the accreditation and ranking processes by reducing duplication, complexity, and subjectivity. Adopt a holistic and outcome-based approach that focuses on the impact of HEIs on society. Encourage innovation and excellence in HEIs by providing incentives, recognition, and support.

Namaste PM Sir. I am Dipannita Bhunia. During COVID 19 pandemic many shops were closed as well as schools only the small small shops or hospitals and public services were open. At that time to now I found a change. I observed at 2018 children's would play hooky and bunk the schools later in 2019, I saw many schools were closed many shops were closed many students suffered even many students even many students learn the importance of school over there I was very happy by seeing those people. I even learnt that how much pandemic on diseases arrives that many multiplied ṭhree times a man learns a lesson that mean I am not saying that pandemics are beneficial what's the truth which I learnt i just tried to express it. I even made and learnt a quote on it. "How trouble a man gets that much more lessons he gains, so don't be afraid of troubles and difficulties instead learn from it." Thank you all the management staff for giving this wonderful and golden opportunity. Thank you one and all.

Namaste according to me in all education fields like school, college or university they should give practical knowledge to students . Because every person after passing out wants a source of income you know and I don't think this is wrong because if we want to fulfill our needs or desire money is the most important thing. And i don't think by remembering all the bookis language help them to earn enough money and I am the example of that I just earn very less as compared to my class fellows who were very weak at their studies I am not saying that we don't t have to study to earn money but when we see an uneducated person earn more than you it hurts you really bad I just want that every person who work hard each day in her school or college time will get what ever they want .And I just want to earn enough money that I can proudly say to my mom dad that what you want I will buy you right know cause they sacrifice a lot for us .

Stakeholder Involvement and Transparency: Ensure that the accreditation process involves a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, alumni, industry representatives, and community members. Their perspectives provide a well-rounded view of an institution's impact. Additionally, increase transparency by making accreditation reports and outcomes publicly accessible, which can enable informed decision-making by prospective students and employers.

Continuous Improvement Culture: Emphasize the importance of a continuous improvement culture within institutions. Accreditation should not be a one-time event but an ongoing process that encourages institutions to regularly review and enhance their educational practices. Institutions could be required to submit periodic progress reports showcasing how they have implemented feedback and made improvements based on previous evaluations.

Peer Review and Collaboration: Encourage peer review and collaboration among institutions as a part of the accreditation process. This can involve cross-institutional visits by experts to assess teaching methods, curriculum design, and research practices. Collaboration could lead to knowledge-sharing, best practice dissemination, and improvement in areas where an institution might be lacking.
