The general public/stakeholder is hereby informed that the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) invites comments/suggestions on the amendment in “Apprentices Act,1961” with an objective to enhance the apprenticeship opportunities for youth.

Any person/stakeholder desirous of sending their comments/suggestions may do so through e-mail at anita.sriv@nic.in within thirty working days from the date of publication of the details of the invite.

The last date for submission of inputs is 10th May 2021.

Whenever we interview candidates for a particular job, we hardly get an appropriate ones. Our business language and most of the govt compliance is done in English language but it’s very very difficult to get a good English speaking/writing candidate. Our education system is in hands of mafia who are producing mostly sub standard stuff.

Since apprentice provide less salary, it can be provided while the student is in college itself. one student must be permitted to apply for more than one apprentice as per his interest. He can sign a bond to complete the apprentice. Private companies should also provide them. After graduation, It becomes useless as our unemployed graduates work for 6000 Rs after completing BE. Some percentage of students must be employed after completing apprentice. Thus it will act as a stepping stone for them.

Under apprentice act, govt must be granted some exemptions under Taxation system viz IT or GST, this will help a lot to encourage companies to providing apprentice programmes under their establishment.

 In a move aimed at improving the ease of doing business for employers and widening the scope of apprentices. so some government agencies must come in to and make it much prosperous.

Government should formulate compulsory provision for vast companies to hire unskilled manpower under apprentice act. It will a milestone for skill improvement to our youths.

Skill development ministry to move an amendment to Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in monsoon session. As per the existing provisions, firms with 30 or more employees have to train a minimum of 2.5% of apprentices each year while maximum could go up to 15% of the total employee strength.

apprentice training programs must be supported by govt with finance technology and man power and most of these courses must be free of cost if possible if not on minimize fees so that poor can afford it and make their children trained in particular apprentice course
