The general public/stakeholder is hereby informed that the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) invites comments/suggestions on the amendment in “Apprentices Act,1961” with an objective to enhance the apprenticeship opportunities for youth.

Any person/stakeholder desirous of sending their comments/suggestions may do so through e-mail at anita.sriv@nic.in within thirty working days from the date of publication of the details of the invite.

The last date for submission of inputs is 10th May 2021.

Basic account related course for accounting clerk must be included under proposed apprentice act so that students who want to work in company offices can become better equipped in latest trends in accounting practices

all driving license aspirants must go through driving apprentice course thus train educated drivers on road for better road traffic safety

make it mandatory for all MTS staff recruited in Govt jobs should have to complete required apprentice course within 2 years of their appointment or later till then their increment can with held thus better equipped staff for different situations

apprentices act must include provision of loan so that after training students can get long term subsidized loan on easy terms and conditions so that train people can become self employed

apprentice act must be amended to keep women and disabled in mind by keeping at least 30 percent for seat reserved for them not only that suitable scholarship must be given to cover other course expenses EWS reservation must be also be considered under this

since labor laws are not applicable in any of the apprentice or internship program, there is a type of looting going on in the country where student has to pay to work (for internships). If such thing exists, it is already very difficult for many students to gain hands on experience in industry, even some companies asks for payment, while they are on government portal like aicte internship portal and even BSNL charges money for their internship program.

Apprentices do the same work as other employees of the company. Apprentices shall be given equal salary to other employees of the company for example worker, supervisor, engineer etc But, as apprentices have not completed their education, they can be put in unskilled category of the same class to protect their wages and avoid exploitation.

Dear sir The present situation calls for revolutionary changes in the ways we have been operating till date due to the never seen before crisis being faced. Including training and probation in apprentice, giving employment in all public and private companies through apprenticeship, retiring employees above 50 will tackle problem of unemployment and corruption ( complacent employees). Integration of apprenticeship with +3/4 education, guaranteed income from 18 years.
