We have moved from Surplus Cash to Less Cash post Demonetization. However, there are certain deterrents. One of them is bank charges on using On Line payments or use of cards. It is difficult to understand why bank should charge if use of electronic mode does not increase work and actually reduces their load and increases volumes.Further, when user is to pay more why should use electronic mode?Banks are suppose to charge for delay in clearing outstanding dues or if balance goes below minimum balance

Every time I pay for petrol with my debit card, I am charged up to Rs. 3 per litre extra as bank charge. I am not using credit card. Its my money so why should I pay anything extra just because Government is not allowing me cash withdrawals. If you really want digital payments to succeed, there should be NO SERVICE CHARGE on digital payments.

Issue "Universal UPI Card"
This UUC debit card can replace all existing debit cards. All consumers will have to do is to link each of their bank a/c to their ONE UUC debit card. This saves consumers from carrying many debit cards.
What happens when a vendor swipes this UUC debit card?
1) Swipe UUC card
2) Enter Amount
3) If more than 1 a/c is linked, then bank option pops up. Consumer can select bank
4) Enter security pin
5) Transaction complete
Same can apply for UUC credit card too!

End all surcharge or transaction charges from all types payments, incentivize cashless or digital payments. Tax Cash Withdrawals made above Rs. 4500/day & Rs. 24000/week. The BHIM App should be improved to support more than one Bank at a time. Introduce a mechanism such that 2 or 3 banks can be connected at a time and the user can chose which account to pay from. Also a lot of improvement is needed on the BHIM App as fetching balance is rejected quite often.

Cashless transaction can't be an effective alternate for cash payment until its duration doesn't cope up with cash payments duration i,e less than 10 seconds.Especially for millions of low cost payments.Imagine if there is rush/que for buying a certain commodity or person is in a great hurry why would he choose EDC machine/paytm/bhim over cash? I have a suggestion in pdf attached, hope U will find it interesting. #WatalCommittee, #DigitalPayments, #DepartmentofEconomicAffairs, #NITIAayog, #MyGov

Dear sir,
digital payment is good and it is also good that govt. incorage people for it. But govt. fails due to bank charges for digital payment. If Govt. wants that People use digital payment Govt. have to giveup the bank charges & also give some benifet to the person.
