Government should formulate policies for Universities-Industries tie up like: 1. Funding should be based on Universities Tie-ups (and their outcome) with Industries 2. Make compulsory for the industry (with which university) to visit its campus for placements/R&D (but not compulsory for them to choose) 3. Guest lectures/seminars/demonstrations of various developments that took place as result of tie-ups on State/National level by Gov Universities+Industries 4. Making a data base on the same

By arranging industrial visits and arranging summer training for our students,students will get to know better about what is expected of them to become employable.

The private and government Indian companies are spending much on R&D but with less output. Reason is that current education system kills our thinking power and creativity and fills our brain with fear of failure. Improve this basic reason and fault of education system, and then whatever you will add/do, result will be reflected. Otherwise we will produce only manpower as we are doing, and not brainpower.
