Respected Prime Minister,
NHAI AND SMART VILLAGES
NHAI has potential for positively impacting the lives of our people, economically and culturally. Its reach to all parts of our country makes it possible.
The project should include Making Smart Villages along or in proximity of NHAI. These villages should be developed as good Business and Cultural Centres. There should be hotels/ restaurants (local cuisine), Petrol Pumps and other amenities. Villagers should have opportunities to do business with people moving on NHAI.
At approximately 100kms distance on NHAI, one Smart Village should be developed.
NHAI and Smart Villages should be the pride of our nation, reflecting on our diversity and culture.

Several people are injured and killed in road accidents every year. Pedestrians, Riders, Bike Riders, car drivers and other vehicle passengers throng the roads daily for everyday chores which could easily put their lives to risk. Thus, road safety is important to offer protection to road users.Road safety is primarily meant for the prevention of accidents and to protect the road users from getting injured or killed. With urbanization, we have seen constant growth in the vehicle ownership and traffic mess on roads. Traffic congestion is getting worse and has become a serious issue. Roads must be clean.
They should be widest and it should be of 4 lanes.
The roads that are through the villages should be clean and well bricked.
The dividers of lane should be there.
Any of the animals must not run between the road.

the flyovers do cost huge money . also consume cement, steel and energy sources . this is burden on environment . Hence we should restrict the flyovers only to bare essentials. where there is no answer.
Few examples:
1. A fly over coming up at Bilaspur entrance has three legs . One from raipur, one from korba side and one leg travelling to east towards Raigargh . this could have been very simple cross over of two and connected left turns . thus the cost of the project
could have curtailed to almost 40 percent
2. At Bhilai on NH 6 there is flyover come bridge over rail near Nehru nagar. just after that highway by pass starts , and traffic to Durg is on old highway . that is only city traffic.
the rail bridge should have come after the HW by pass started. As the bridge is primarily for local people . It is about 200 m from present location towards west. the length of bridge would have just 30 percent and huge savings could have achieved

my suggestion is not to make old roads in six or eight lanes. In lieu we make separate HW but at some distance say 100 kms or 50 kms away , suiting to geographical and communication needs of local . so on old highways load will come down .
2. there is need to make roads for low speed traffic like Ag machines, tractor tailor, MC and auto . It is the differential speed and attitude of people which chokes the traffic. Also frequent reduction is speed would be avoided
