The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites students, creators, influencers, startups, and digital enthusiasts across India to download, explore, and experience the TRAI DND (Do Not Disturb) Application, and create a short reel that tells your story.
Spam calls and unwanted messages are not just an inconvenience - they can pose risks to consumer safety and digital trust. The TRAI DND App empowers telecom subscribers to report spam calls and SMS, manage communication preferences, track complaint status, and contribute to building a cleaner telecom ecosystem.

About TRAIThe Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) safeguards telecom consumer interests through regulatory oversight, complaint monitoring frameworks, awareness initiatives, and stakeholder consultations. TRAI regularly conducts Consumer Outreach Programmes (COP), Consumer Awareness Programmes (CAP), media campaigns, and digital awareness initiatives to empower citizens.
As part of participatory digital engagement, TRAI is conducting amonthly reel- based contest to leverage influencer ecosystems and user-generated content (UGC) to enhance citizen awareness about reporting spam using the TRAI DND App.
About the TRAI DND Application
The TRAI DND (Do Not Disturb) App enables telecom subscribers to:
1. Register preferences for blocking unwanted commercial communications (UCC)
2. Lodge complaints against spam calls and SMS
3. Monitor complaint status
4. Strengthen consumer control over telemarketing practices
By reporting spam through the app, consumers contribute toregulatory action that protects all telecom users.
What You Need to Do
Here’s your challenge:

2. Explore its features
3. Create a 30–60 second reel showing:
How the app works
Why reporting spam matters
How the app helps you or your community Be creative. Be informative. Make it relatable.
Your reel can inspire others to take action and help make India’s digital space safer.
Reel Submission Guidelines
1. Entries must comply with platform community guidelines and applicable Indian IT laws.
2. Participation open to influencers, creators, students, and general public.
3. No entry fee
4. Reel duration: Minimum 30 seconds; Maximum 60 seconds
5. File type: MP4, portrait mode (9:16), high resolution
6. Language: English, Hindi, or any Indian language (English subtitles mandatory for non-English entries)
7. Only one entry per participant per month is permitted
8. Reel must be original; plagiarism or copyright violation will lead to disqualification
9. Content must promote or demonstrate the features, usefulness, or consumer benefits of the TRAI DND App.
10. Content must not be defamatory, political, misleading, or in violation of any law or TRAI guidelines
Mandatory Social Media & Submission Requirements
1. The reel must be uploaded on a public social media platform (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
2. Participants must keep their social media profile/post PUBLIC for evaluation
3. Participants must follow the official TRAI social media handle on the same platform where the reel is uploaded
4. Participants must tag the official TRAI handle and include the mandatory campaign hashtags in the caption/post
5. The public link of the reel must be submitted on MyGov
6. Entries without required follow, tag, hashtag compliance, or posted from private accounts may be disqualified
7. Participants are encouraged to share their reel widely to maximise awareness and engagement

Evaluation Criteria
Entries will be evaluated by a Jury Panel constituted by TRAI based on:
1. Relevance (30%) - Alignment with app objectives and regulatory messaging
2. Creativity & Originality (30%) - Innovative storytelling and presentation
3. Clarity of Communication (25%) - Accuracy in explaining features and consumer benefits
4. Technical Quality (15%) - Audio-visual clarity and production quality
Entries meeting submission guidelines will be shortlisted. Decision of the Jury shall be final and binding.

1st Prize - ₹10,000/-
