India is advancing towards a citizen-centric digital governance ecosystem. In this direction, the Department of Posts (DoP), Ministry of Communications, proposes the Digital Hub for Reference and Unique Virtual Address (DHRUVA) to establish a standardized, interoperable, and user-friendly digital addressing system as part of the national digital public infrastructure. To provide legislative backing to this initiative, draft amendments to the Post Office Act, 2023 have been prepared based on stakeholder consultations. The proposed framework aims to enable secure, consent-based address management and “Address as a Service (AaaS).”

The Department of Posts, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens to share their suggestions/ comments on the draft amendments.

Post office is an important pillar of communication from one place to another place.a new bill has to be framed for doing some changes according to time.first point is to digital pin number has to be allotted for all area.second post office wi be upgrade digitally according to time.third digital postman concept will be accepted for their betterment.my mantra is Post office se digital office tak ka safar.

पोस्ट आफिस जब बनाएं गयें शायद ही सोचा होगा कि दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों हेतु प्रमुख आर्थिकी व संवाद आदान प्रदान का महत्वपूर्ण आधार बनेगा तकनीक वर्तमान समय बावजूद पोस्ट आफिस का कार्य आज भी प्रासंगिक गरीब अंतिम लाचार विवश मजदूर उक्त सेवा के साथ अवश्य जुड़ा मिलेगा कुछ न कुछ जमापूंजी भी जरुर होगी लेकिन पहले जैसे पोस्ट आफिस विस्तार हुआ आज कोई पोस्ट आफिस नया नहीं खोला गया विधायक सांसद जिला पंचायत प्रधान तो अवश्य बढे दुर्भाग्य वैसे उक्त सेवा विस्तार नहीं हुआ कृपया सेवा सुशासन का ही अंग पोस्ट आफिस

Structured Public Consultation and Review Future amendments and major rules should follow: • Public consultation with defined timelines • Disclosure of feedback and responses • Periodic review of implementation outcomes This embeds transparency and participatory governance.
