Karimnagar city in the state of Telangana has been selected by Government of India (GoI) to participate and prepare a Smart City Proposal (SCP) under the flagship programme - Smart City Mission (SCM).
The Smart City Proposal should capture aspirations of the citizens about Karimnagar and their inputs for formulating a vision statement and strategies for the development of city.
In this regard, Municipal Corporation Karimnagar requests its citizens and other stakeholders to come forward and share their views to make Karimnagar a Smart City.
The last date to submit comments is 30 November, 2016.

Karimnagar has all natural resources and ecosystem in terms of development. I know our municipal corporation and government departments will work hard and achieve the goal. I request the Karimnagarites to come forward and have to walk n speak your city. Roads,water supply,electricity,health,education,sanitation,water and sewerage treatment plants,parks,hotels,play ground,footh path,walking track,bus station,railway station. If we concentrate on this our city sure will become SMART CITY.

Each street name sign board and road name should display before the entrance of the street which helps many of the citizen and other people to find the way and the area of presence easily. P to p formula should be implemented for ban on this. Pigs ban Plastic ban Swaach bharat should be conducted in all private and government institution, offices. It should given as an integral part of the syllabus and activity. Sewarage treatment plant on outskirts of the city. It should be peoples city

Smart vehicles for police,fire and disaster dept,and other emergency Departments.All the municipal worker and administration Department should create an environment of keeping city clean and green. Area should be divided in to 4 circles east west north south for better & proper maintenance of the city.All government offices educational institution which are within the city limits should be renovate and have moder technology in it. ALL RELIGIOUS PLACES HAVE SMOOTH PASSAGE AND AREA SHOULD BE CLEA

Internal roads should have master plan,every citizen should know about smart city. Massive smart city campaign should be conducted.police station,bus station,railway station,and public places should be upgraded in to smart.A Pan city,IT PARK and INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CORRIDOR ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE TOWN SHOULD BE PLANNED. MAXIMUM PART OF THE CITY TO BE COVER IN SMART CITY FOR RETROFITTING. PARKING, WALKING TRACKS,CHILDREN PARK,STADIUM, HEALTH UNITS,24/7 WATER,ELECTRICITY, SURVEILLANCE for city

Need flyovers in telangana chowk and court junction.proper street lights and seperate buildings for parking near marks and tower area. And initially need to improve railway connectivity as we lost near by railway stations to seperate districts like peddapalli etc.redesigning of old drainage and improving it as water are led to flow openly on water.
