भारत के विकास के तार कपड़ा क्षेत्र की सफलता से जुड़े हुए हैं। कृषि के साथ उद्योग का सहजीवी संबंध लाभार्थियों के क्षेत्र को विस्तृत करता है।
• 4.5 करोड़ लोग प्रत्यक्ष रूप से कार्यरत हैं जबकि अन्य 6 करोड़ अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से। इस क्षेत्र में महिलाओं और ग्रामीण आबादी की काफी हिस्सेदारी के साथ हैं।
• वस्त्र और परिधान में वैश्विक व्यापार का 5% हिस्सा भारत का है।
•इस क्षेत्र में भारत के सदियों पुराने ज्ञान और विशेषज्ञता ने इसे कुल निर्यात (2018-19) में 12% हिस्सेदारी के साथ दुनिया के दूसरे सबसे बड़े निर्माता और निर्यातक देश के रूप में स्थापित किया है।

और अब हम, कपड़ा मंत्रालय में, भारत के लिए वैश्विक नेता का दर्जा हासिल करने के लिए प्रयासरत हैं। माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के दूरदर्शी नेतृत्व में सरकार निर्यात, गुणवत्ता और उत्पादकता, प्रतिस्पर्धा, प्रौद्योगिकी उन्नयन, अनुसंधान एवं विकास और प्रशिक्षण को बढ़ावा देकर आत्मनिर्भर भारत के मिशन को साकार करने के लिए नवाचार और प्रोत्साहन पर जोर दे रही है और इस उद्योग में कौशल विकास पर भी ध्यान दे रही है।

अब, हम अपने मिशन में तेजी लाने के लिए उद्योग के विशेषज्ञों, नवोन्मेषकों, छात्रों, व्यापार जगत के नेताओं और इस क्षेत्र के अन्य सभी योगदानकर्ताओं के सुझावों को जानने के लिए उत्सुक हैं। जैसा कि हम भारत की स्वतंत्रता के 75 वें वर्ष को मनाने जा रहे हैं, हम चाहते हैं कि कपड़ा उद्योग की सफलता में आपकी भागीदारी बढ़े।

Get rid of representation by population ! at citiy /panchayat evel it can be increased but voluntary with minimum payment. but no at state /central level. Time to be it on square kilometer basis . with heft y deductions for population explosion & poor law & order. postive for GDP & per capita .reward performance Addtion for national assets . Even law enforcement should be a mix of police stations /court per sq Kilometer+ population . all ghettos under 24*7 drone /satellite surveilance.

textile logistics cost ! not seen 1 attempt to reduce export + domestic ! how is china/vietnam/bangladesh doing it ? Let's put the facts on paper ! MEA India should take lead in supporting indian textiles ! Woolen/ cotton/linen as per climate ! but shocked , India has not got equivalent Japanese cloth for rich sheikhs & other hotter areas . This market should have more of India share ! losing out to Turkey & even saudi brands May be 4 women- abaya+ inner garment - easy to wear & change !

1. To increase man power in textile sector, daily wages can be fixed per working hour , insurance scheme and pension scheme for workers. 2. Including Textile sector into MGNREGA scheme in urban areas so that textile industries can be developed in rural areas thus reducing logistics cost and employment opportunities for rural youth. 3. textile engineering has to be linked with R&D. 4. branding, advertisements in government medias like PIB, DD for local brands for those with excellent quality.

I belongs to a very poor weaver family in west bengal. From the ancient time the all people of my village are based on small scale textile industry ie handlooms. From the very beginning they are not getting their appropriate profit. Day by day the value of handlooms cloths are decreasing. But in the market the price of the same is increasing. In this prolonged lockdown people aren't able to fulfil their basic needs even. This is an false approach by govt. to attract peoples.

sir Please address Horticulture students during your speech on Indipendence day... Since Horticulture sector is emerging in India and contributing to GDP. And also Organic farming is necessary in developing India. please consider Horticulture students and provide us opportunity in Government sector jobs . I respect and welcome your idea of coconut development board (ammendment) bill 2021.. please take a look in to Karnataka public service commission and it's recruitment process

Textile sector will need an organized approach. People:Blend of skilled people from traditional crafts and modern manufacturing is required. Place:Cluster of Textile parks with modern amenities. Modern techniques and big machines should not be demonized. Products:Entire Textile industry should be MSME oriented to generate optimum employment generation capacity. Promotion:Taxation should be low. It has far greater multiplier effect on employment. Incentives for Made in India modern brands.
