Together, let’s make our cities better. Make your voice heard! Citizens are the drivers of change for any city. We want to know the most pressing problems you and your city are facing related to the following four main sectors.After we receive your responses, a series of smart city hackathons will be conducted to put our best minds to solving relevant problems using technology:

1.Urban mobility—Moving you, your family, and your belongings: What challenges and frustrations do you face in getting around your city? What issues do you face when walking, biking, taking public transit, or parking in your city? What are the biggest barriers to affordable, accessible, efficient, and safe transportation in your city?

2.Solid waste management—Handling your garbage, your recycling, and your compost: What challenges and frustrations do you face in dealing with garbage, recycling, and compost in your city? What are issues behind collection, segregation, and waste disposal? What are the barriers to sustainable, efficient, and effective solid waste management in your city?

3.Water supply—Distributing water from the source to you: What challenges and frustrations do you face in accessing water for drinking, cooking, and washing in your city? Is the water supply available at an individual household level? What are the barriers to ample, uninterrupted, and safe water supply in your city?

4.Citizen safety and security—Protecting you by preventing crime, danger, and disaster: What challenges and frustrations do you face in moving confidently and without stress around your city? What issues do residents—in particular women, children, and senior citizens—in your city face when it comes to safety? What are the barriers to reliable, prompt, and effective security services in your city?

Lack of Public involvement in urban planning and audit is also one of the reasons public are not willing to accept Master Plans.In ULB also same like for villages urban ward sabha has to be empowered to involve people at grassroot in planning and decision making,involving some NGO /CLUB/Residential association representatives in ward committees is not working , a platform like mygov has to be created for each ward,through which citizens can participate and express their views in urban planning

Sub: Regarding no bus connectivity from Loni (Ghaziabad) for Delhi and other places of NCR Sir, The Loni area of Distt. Ghaziabad, UP is a very backward area. Most of the people living in this area are poor and belong to low-income group. Inputs of police and security persons should be considered in Planning of cities.There should be command and control centre for monitoring security.When a theft/house break happens after calling the police,the police arrive within 20 minutes after,by that time the damage is caused and the theif leaves the place.In many places street lights are not working,which facilitate crime,can we start citizen police program,training residents by police in each residentialarea for quick emergency response

We have to challenge our planning standards,why residential and non polluting commercial areas/office cant co-exist.Can we make employers take responsibility for finding housing for employees in vicinity.Can ULB impose transport tax for tenants/house owners who stay far away from their work place and commute.If the Tenants stay near the workplace in walking/bicycle distance 1-1.5 kms there shouldnot be tax,the tax rate need to increase when the commute distance from house to work place increase

Drinking water food security (not scheme) free food hub or nominal charges protection from hot wether and winter footwear clothing cleanliness health electricity roads public transport education employment/or UID universal income scheme to all simple marriage cocept than administration policing etc.

Master Degree in Sociology,Economics, could be obtained without passing physics,maths or chemistry at 12th class,and those persons are also eligible for Higher education in Planning.So for Bachelor of Planning Course,12th pass in any group even without Physics,chemistry or even maths should be eligible,JEE eligibility for B.Plan should not ask for maths at 12th.As corruption by planners leads to manmade disasters like flooding due to settlements in nondevelopable area.Planners need to be honest

Hello from Pune, Due to lack of good public transport system everyone needs to have a vehicle, which leads to congestion on the road + pollution + N number of problems. About waste management, earlier Municipal Corporation use to take only annual tax in addition to that they started collecting monthly charges per home, still there is problem. Security and safety is at the mercy of the god. There should be proper planning which requires qualified professionals not money minded politics

contid..most of the problems can be addressed by use of technology for modelling of urban infrastructure planning.The methods being adopted are very old and with newer urban infrastructure design these problems can be sorted.We have to plan for the future and should be able to understand that higher the density of population the wider the roads should be.We should have training programs and collaboration for town planners and urban infrastructure development.This will get us better infrastructur

Sir,the biggest issues are: 1)Unauthorized construction 2)Lal dora land haphazard construction 3)Essential services such as ambulance,fire brigade and police accessibility 4)Planning of public transport for last mile connectivity 5)Water shortages and disruptions 6)Electricity outages and power disruptions due to overhead lines 7)Smart Grid system with underground cabling with proper ducting 8)Promotion of Micro grids and solar power 9)Segregation of waste for efficient waste management
