As we progress towards a Smarter Bidhannagar, a city profile has been created using analysis of the city on the basis of the citizen engagement and city line data. Self-assessment for the city was done to find out the current status on an infrastructural and service level keeping in mind a bare minimum civic facilities and services to all citizens. Key performance indicators were identified to quantify and better present the current scenario the city fits in. An analysis was done to find out the city strengths and weaknesses by engaging all stakeholders which includes NGO’s, government officials, people representatives etc. This also provided us with opportunities for the future which could be leveraged.

The city vision and blueprint were created based on the underlying strengths and opportunities keeping in mind the identity and culture of the city. This led to identification of smart solutions for the city to reach its vision and goals.
