I am of the view that it is expensive for poor people to maintain Khadi. If we can add polyester,it would become easy to maintain. With regard to rich people, we need to do special dresses designed by great designers. Finally everything depends on marketing and need gap. In the modern age, we have to be practical.

There is no khadi store in Thane, Maharashtra inspite of it being a LS constituency of more than 12 lakh population. Government should give 'Khadi franchises' to small and medium entrepreneurs.

Let all malls and retailers of multi brands should have a khadi corner with customised counters to allure youth . The sale of kadi through govt network is the worst enemy of khadi . Let the govt work as backend linkage platform between rural people and these big retailers at swanky places . Let our govt declare a khadi day when every one will wear khadi and post his selfie on the social media as mark of respect to Gandhi ji and india . Be Indian , buy Indian khadi may the slogan

Get a Bollywood celebrity or fashion designer to endorse khadi and make it chic. Maybe Salman Khan as he seems to have the most number of brain dead fans who will do anything he asks them to. His "Being Human" shirts can be made of khadi instead of GM cotton.
