माँ गंगा सहित देश की अन्य नदियों की सफाई तभी संभव है, जब देश के सभी नागरिक अपनी जिम्मेवारी को समझाते हुए उसमे गन्दगी न करने का संकल्प लें, साथ ही गंदे नालों का पानी भी उसमें न गिराया जाय चूंकि जो भी ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट लगाये गए हैं, वो सब फेल हैं ! मेरे विचार से नेशनल हाई-वे सहित जमुना एक्सप्रेस-वे की दोनों पटरियों पर नाला निर्माण कराकर शहर से बहने वाले गंदे नाले के पानी को मोटर से सप्लाई करने से उसके किनारे खेतों की सिंचाई होगी व खेतों की उपज में बढ़ोतरी होगी, साथ ही जल सरंक्षण भी होगा !

Respected Modi Ji, I am born & broughtup on the bank of Ganga. It used be full of water in my childhood. Gradually free flow of water was controlled due to hydro and irrigation projects. The initial step is to increase water supply in the river which will address many issues. This will help in tourism & Trade.Consequently creation job and revolving fund for self sustainable cleaning project. Next Step may be well controlled/ monitored treatment plants & sewerage besides society involvement.

In Varanasi's riverfront, gentlemen should not be bringing their buffaloes to the ghats for bathing. Dhobis should not be using the ghats for their work. Proper water pipelines should be built for them. This will reduce the congestion on the ghats, help reduce caustic washing products from entering the river etc.
