Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. We hereby request you to provide us your valuable insights and suggestions on the proposal.

Please incorporate PAY-AS-YOU-THROW, each colony or block or apartments can have fully automatized waste management unit, where people living in can have access card and they have to pay for what they want to throw..... Just saw this in the net.... 1. It will encourage people to re-use or recycle things than just throw things. 2. It reduces the environmental pollution created by plastic bags and bottles 3. They will reduce waste as they have to pay if they waste more Like

Kalyan Dombivali municipal corporations's people need for smart city for smart transport smart housing, best and next practices of sanitation and clean city is better for everyone. so it's development for every people who lived in kalyan dombivali municipal corporations area. so it's my various obligations to k.d.m.c to implement as early as possible in our city.

smart city if air , water, sound, earth pollution will remove and education quality improved. other things like house, road, hospital transportation are secondary. public educate to protect life city follow the norms personal responsibility. we told smart city but public should smart first Like

It is a good project started by the indian govt. the smart city concept is more powerful think to build our nation i belong to sehore city in Maharastra which is very close to kalyan city and fortunated kalyan is selected for the smart city and if it will build smart city than my city will allready devolop thanks to the govt.for the selection. Any city in India will become smart if it has a) SMART VEHICLES with License plates having RFID chips b) Smart driving license having RFID chips c) SMART ROADS having RFID receivers to monitor traffic. The detailed suggestions for Chandigarh is given as pdf attached. It should be adopted for all over India. ONLINE SURFACE TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is the only solution.
