Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the 98 cities shortlisted to be developed as a ‘Smart City’ under the Smart Cities Mission of the Government of India. Kalyan Dombivli is in the process of revising the smart city proposal to participate in the Round-2 of Smart City Challenge.

KDMC appreciates the continuous support from citizens in the preparation of the plan. Further, the corporation invites the views and suggestions of the citizens on the draft proposal prepared for Kalyan-Dombivli. First of all, we have to protect whatever good things available in dombivli. I am residing in Kumbharkhanpada, Dombivli West where lot of tree cutting is going on. All illegal construction has taken in crz area in kumbharkhanpada, dombivli West. Police come and take photo and does nothing. There was a board put in 2009 for reserved land for municipal garden in kumbharkhanpda. That board has disappeared and all illegal chawals are being constructed with local support.
