The Central Government Ministries/ Departments and Central Public Sector Undertaking are mandated to procure 25% (as amended in 2018) of their annual value of goods or services from micro and small enterprises vide Public Procurement Order Notified vide S.O. 581 (E) dated 23rd March 2012. Under the policy, 358 items are exclusively reserved for procurement from MSEs which help in the promotion and growth of Micro and Small Enterprises and play a critical role in fostering inclusive growth in the country.

The existing list required a relook to find out the relevance in the present-day context of technological change, and the growth of small and micro enterprises. The Internal Technical Committee of the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises has prepared a revised list of 469 items (including Goods & Services) to be reserved for exclusive procurement from MSEs.

Stakeholders, Industries associations, MSME units and the General public are invited to share their suggestions and comments on the list of 469 items reserved for exclusive purchase from MSEs under the Public Procurement Policy.

We too like and support BJP but lately it looks like they have changed their policy to rule for ever/long term because now word GOVERN is replaced by RULE . Secondly they have developed the art of rule by promoting only large corporates for development and funds And Wooing voters from the bottom of society which is the broadest Result Middle class and Mid and Small size enterprises is completely ignored rather opposed in their growth by Tax terrorism to middle class and Delays in approvals for MSMEs which kills them automatically as they are not so deep pocketed. Govt now thinks that large corporations and small voters make them permanent fixture of democracy. Fodder for brain drain PM sir. Please wait and watch

It is good beginning to have quota for MSMEs which will fuel entrepreneurship in young Indians. There should be a platform which should highlight demand. The current mechanism of MSME department provides access to buyers. However MSME should highlight demand and low supply areas. it will provide below mentioned benefits: - Producers will know the demand. - Financers will know the demand and will justify producers claim - More number of producers will be available and suppliers will get better products. - If this demand is available by location, the producers in respective areas will start exploring these options. This will lead to geographically diversified growth. Reference analytics prepared by me.
