During the year 2015-16, India spent Rs.4.82 lakh crores on imports to fulfill domestic demand. To reduce the import burden, and also to work towards to a greener environment, it is proposed to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

Citizens are invited to suggest ways for encouraging and motivating the masses to avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day, every week.

The last date of submission is 15th April, 2017, 12:00PM

3rd: People should be rewarded by Govt for not exhausting their monthly quota if they roll it over. Make mandatory every city car free and scooter free days. Dole out schemes to encourage walks, cycle usage and Public transport. Now here comes the catch. Can I dare to walk on the sides ( so called footpaths ) of the our roads when every inch of it encroached illegally. Can I dare to ride a cycle in given rash driving conditions of our traffic management.

2nd: The only thing that can teach us a thing or two in these times is DANDA rule. By this I dont patronize dictatorship instead I call for strict controlling measures to be brought in like Rationing. Min of Oil & Min of Fin should come up with a roadmap to categorise the entire nation's society under 3 to 4 segments. Each segment should be allocated a quota for oil consumption. Link it to Aadhaar and PAN in some format.

500 letters may not be enough for me so I split what I wanna suggest in slots. 1st : We been slaves for decades and centuries hence we never learnt exactly what it means to live with freedom. 15th Aug 1947 we all became so called FREE to do whatever we liked ( guess thats what was demonstrated to our then society by our Netas and Abinetas ). Look around and you will see that we are no where close which can be called a warm and socially responsible society per se.
