The Government has reviewed the existing draft National Youth Policy, 2014 and prepared a new draft National Youth Policy (NYP). The draft NYP envisages a ten - year vision for youth development that India seeks to achieve by 2030. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves to 'unlock the potential of the youth to advance India'.

The draft NYP seek to catalyze widespread action on youth development across five priority areas viz. education; employment & entrepreneurship: youth leadership & development; health, fitness & sports; and social justice. Each priority area is underpinned by the principle of social inclusion keeping in view the interests of the marginalized sections.

The Department of Youth Affairs seek comments/views/suggestions on the draft NYP from all stakeholders.

Please refer to the policy document: Draft National Youth Policy (PDF 1.23 MB)

All youths are precious and contributor for the nation building the only thing is that we all understand that" The Naion First". The national policy has to frame in such a way so that the knowledge, skill, talent, innovativeness , courage, money power, brain power, risk bearing ability, tolerence , feeling for motherland in right direction. They have to think that what they have given to nation till date rather than only thinking to get from nation like free electricity, free education, free medical, free cylinder, free tax . Our country is the youngest country in the world and this is our biggest assets for our country. In public administration the knowledge, innovativeness, creativity , brain power and courage has to be utilised in the best interest of the nation. No youth has to destroy the national and personal property and even his or her own property for any reason. These all assets are national property. Internation image has to built than only all sort of development possible.

Implement meritocracy in all public sector organizations ; not seniority . The salary of a single bank employee can be given to 2 or 3 contractual employees. You will get more work out of them , and unemployment will also reduce. This is how nations youth can get jobs. Instead they are forced to find jobs in other countries. Government employees are a different deal , because some talent and knack for politics and negotiation is required. So , seniority has slight value, though definitely misguided. Bank of India is an example of bank (personal experience as a customer) where work priorities of employees are so misguided that is better to give their salary to multiple contractual employees than these unionized permanent employees. It should be privatized as quickly as possible.

Government knows that, Youth is the driving force of any developmental activity. India is stuck in poor wages, inadequate standard of living and growth in employment opportunities as compared to developed countries. Loyal work force is fading, after popularity of outsourcing concept followed in IT industry. Today Outsourcing concept is followed in all fields after ensuring proper risk assessment & SOPs of activities, identifying critical job positions and implementing delegation of authority requirements. Secured job makes the workforce stale at one point, contractual jobs keep them (both employee and employer) active and brings new inventions and technology to the industry. We know more population means more competition and more competition means less salary, less salary means poor standard of living, employment opportunities are limited, employment opportunities and crime rates are indirectly proportional. India is most populated country, high in intruders entering from borders so w

Introduce a session that will be conducted by eminent personalities from various fields , especially from successful industries, in colleges. These sessions will highlight the various opportunities awaiting the youth once they finish their education. These sessions can be introduced in " non management studies" institutions. It can be at the rate of an hour every week. This can help the youth to have a fair idea on career selection.
