To achieve that, we need to start at the grass root level and have our education focus more on how things work practically than in theory. Eg, I am a software engineer yet I do not know how a generator functions, whereas the man who hasn’t studied as much knows its working from the back of his hand. Children need to be exposed early on to various machines, art, literature and by the time they reach the 8th standard, education should be vocational based on the child’s interests. This will instil spirit of innovation in the child from a very early age and more and more future citizens will have an increased focus on innovation.
