The Government of India issued guidelines for the promotion of payments through cards and digital means on 29th February, 2016. The guidelines can be seen (here). A Committee was also constituted under the Chairmanship of Shri Ratan P Watal, Principal Advisor, NITI Ayog and Former Finance Secretary with key industry stakeholders, RBI and concerned Government Departments to review medium term measures necessary to promote the digital payment system in the Country. The Committee’s report can be seen here.

The Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India invites public Comments / suggestions on the report. We invite you to read the report and provide your valuable feedback and suggestions by 11th January 2017. The final decision on the Report will be taken after considering the comments/suggestions received on the Report.

The 'BHIM' app already downloaded.But I ca'nt complete it because the name of my bank is not included in it.Pls. include 'State bank of Travancore' also in it.

I have used my ATM cum debit card to purchase petrol. (Its Master Card) I was expecting 0.75% refund on the purchase of pertrol. Till date I have not received the same. May I Know the procedure involved in getting the said benefit so that I can follow up with the concern bank.

UPI is a vvv good technology. But people are not aware banks are doing nothing to promote UPI or training their customers. So only thing which is missing for the popularity is proper training and marketing of UPI.

UPI payments for current accounts: it will be v helpful if we can integrate the UPI with current account too. This will help lots of business community for payment.

To make citizens fearless, re-chageable,like e-wallet,cards must be launched.Citizens are not ready to use debit cards.Wholesale bussiness must be "compulsory cashless."
