If all Universities have their own publication house and publish model papers and books, a lot of money can be generated because the students will take model papers hand to hand. The money so generated can be used for financing higher education of the poor and talented students. Universities have lots of option for raising funds, but the requirement is for a proper utilization of funds.

Sir, The Universities are education hub for students all over the world. But the irony is that students of colleges and universities in Uttarakhand are depended on model papers published by various publishing houses. The students spend lot of money on model papers only to find that they have been cheated. The questions to which they are seeking answers are either misprinted or wrong. A small is sometimes found written at last page or elsewhere, to consult the text books.

Reservations based on caste/community should be banned. Admissions should only be given based on merit. But the application fees should be exempted for poor people. And if they pass the entrance and take admission, their education should be made free. For some people even the fee for entrance exam can be unaffordable.

Sir ! Government should think about police station. .all police station should be diveded into 2 parts one for male and another for female.as u all know most of the victim during crime are women...so if police stations for females is available in all areas with female constable and officers...women will feel safe and can be able to approach when she need...most of the time they don't approach to police station because of fear from male officers

A mechanism could be developed (e.g. PPP) wherein investment in development of higher education could be brought under tax exemption (up to a certain limit). Moreover, higher education bond can be introduced. Investment in these bonds will directly go the finance of higher education in the universities. Proper result oriented auditing of the govt. sponsored research programmes in the universities should be carried out.

Its b'coz of our ignorance that in govt schools only poor students studies. Teachers come there to count their attendance only. They are not liable to give answers about the performance of students.In my point of view their salary and promotion must be linked with the results. We can think about to make a committee including Panch/Sarpanch/MLA/MP so as to improve bad condition of govt schools. And proper inspection shud be done by the committee.

Unitary public universities are more efficient than than the affiliating public universities.

Higher education has to be supported and subsidised by the Govt. Good education needs good research and no private system can afford the costs of resarch. Govt funding is thus not only for education (teaching) but also for research. The benefits are therefore also more. Most privately funded institutions do not fund research and this reduces the quality of their faculty and so the quality fo their teaching also.
