4. Encroachment is the biggest challange- Narrow roads/ commercial shops dont have parking facility. - Authorities should investigate commercial establishments who dont provide parking and fine them
5. No building rules/norms followed. Atleast moving forward, we have to be strict on this.
6. Water/ roads/ Clean Garbage disposal system for all
7. Quality govt operated engineering/ medical colleges
8. Traffic sense to be improved
Then only Erode can be a true smart city

1. Water Pollution - Dye/ Leather factories release untreated water into the river and into the ditch, which needs to be curbed - Erode has the most number of cancer cases because of this pollution.
2. Air Pollution - Still Hotels, Cottage industries use Woodblocks to burn, causing 50% of air pollution in the city
3. There is no single road in Erode which has the platform for pedestrians to walk
