Employability of our students is a matter of concern. At the other end of the spectrum is need for greater investment in research. Industry academia linkages are essential to meet both these ends. While we have various efforts in this direction, these have not fructified as expected. We need to find out how and what is needed for a more fruitful partnering.

Every Engineering and technical under graduate student should 1year or minimumm 6 months industrial field work in final year of graduation compulsory and then only he will be awarded a graduate degree. Every institute and industry should be MOU on this basis only.

The weakest link in education is GRADUATION.80 lac are passing out every year. PLEASE Concentrate on Graduation.Even PM in the parliament said 'our graduates are unemployable'.In my last post i suggested mandatory industry internship for graduates across 3 years. This is a NO COST solution with employment generation as additional advantage.Hope action is taken earliest.Should be made into a law as CSR Activity.Industry associations CII etc to involve.Best Industry academic partnership.

Instead of opening new colleges/IITs and IIMs we should Improve existing NITs and PG colleges. In education Buildings/infra is hardware and teachers is software. We need better software because hardware is already there.Replicating IITs may not be a great idea.

All 3 year UG Courses 3 month industry internship every yr must be made mandatory.A student will get 9 months free training and along with skills like confidence, responsiveness, communication. NO STPIEND is required because then this scheme won't work. IT should CSR activity & each company will have to take a certain number every year as a Government mandate. Will also result in placements, addl GDP.Govt to involve Industry associations like CII, Chambers of commerce to coordinate

The Autonomy in curricula design in Technical Education should be promoted in place of University dependent Curriculum System for affiliated Technical Institute to impart the education based on latest skill sets to the future stake holders of the country as per the needs of the Industries and global market. On other hand, university is following the traditional way to redesign the curriculum, which is dawdling the overall growth of the Technical education in the Country.

Unlike in IITs and NITs, Engineering Colleges affiliated to Universities are unable to spare students for summer internships for 2 months due to the delayed examinations. Internships of at least one month in a year shall be made mandatory.Organisations / industries shall not charge heavy fees for this service, which is not the case in many organisations.

Diploma graduates generally belong to the lower income grup of the society and have to join work and studying regular is a distant dream for them. Government on one hand wants education and employability. Whereas when it comes to recognising the hard work of the section of the society they are ill treated. Most companies want regular degree people. Education system does not allow higher studies. My question is what form of Justice is this.

while connecting actual industry to colleges,we need to think of genuine employment generation.many times we do not think of right person at right place.Thats problem.then we do not get desirable productivity ,invisible employment grows.

our higher education is total menace. We have less connectivity towards industry who does not absorb candidates although possessing a degree certificates. We have to segregate all sector separately.today we are govern all industry with outdated laws, regulations.we have no worker favor laws specially in salary structure.contractor loots workers.
