Employability of our students is a matter of concern. At the other end of the spectrum is need for greater investment in research. Industry academia linkages are essential to meet both these ends. While we have various efforts in this direction, these have not fructified as expected. We need to find out how and what is needed for a more fruitful partnering.

Skill and vocational education from sec.level and the visit to the industries and vice versa will take this process to HE for solution.

In order to give students more exposure to industry applications, more focus should be given to bridge a gap between classroom teaching and practical usage. We should develop a strong institute-industry interface to increase employability of our students.

The industries will exist only if we have resources (man power), in this term if students will be taught in such a way according to the job requirments of current prevailling industries definetely the economy will grow.

There should be accountability of top officials about the placements in industries and there should be performance based admission in these institutes. The students who got good marks in previous semester should get rewards in form of less fees in next semesters.

The management education system in India is now highly corrupted and the institutions are run only to generate money. The industry linking is absent in the curriculum and the faculty in many institutions do not have industry experience. Many of the UGC abd AICTC rules are contradictory to each other. My humble suggestion is that scrap AICTC and UGC and establish a new higher education authority with meaningful regulations.

Institution Industry interaction must be encouraged. Students should get an opportunity to get training in industries (for professional students) as in the case with medical profession

Encourage sandwich courses for development of the students.sandwich courses give students a flavor of industry.
