As all the industry agree that the quality of education will be great if it is linked with the experience added with the practical exposure.The professional courses really require the practical training. Why the last Govt accepted the MHRD withdrawing the recognition to the Professional bodies courses like AMIE/AMIETE,where this is the real emphasis(linking knowledge with experience), i donot know.My request is to re-recognize these professional bodies,which are really working at present.

Employment opportunities with dignity and security should be prime motive. In the name of employbility, profit driven private industries' interest should not be given space in educational curriculum.

Industry is driven by market forces and linking education to employability is detrimental to education, in the sense that certain areas are promoted and others are relegated.

cant we have education system like that in other countries like america or canada ?

Education link with industry is not the best way of education in every field because the main aim of education is all round development of a child not only professionally developed. Ethics and morals are also the base of our indian education system.

Any higher educational institution that has adequate public funds to maintain autonomy and support an independent and critical academic atmosphere would automatically attract scholars and students from all over the world.

I am not convinced that all education has to necessarily be linked to employability; in fact it might be counter productive and may result in creation of polytechnic like institutions. Some education is just for the soul; I am not sure if we read philosophy necessarily in order to get jobs!! This engagement of education to industry, in my opinion, will ultimately threaten liberal arts.

Industry builds applications of the new ideas that higher education creates, but is not connected with education itself. Placing such individuals in governing bodies will confer no advantage for the educational work that colleges do, and may in fact be counter-productive.

I Am a practicing architect and a visiting professor, withmy experience both as a professional and a teacher I want to share that in architecture there is one year training in the final year. But even after the training most of the students are not skilled enough and confident enough to work on a live project. It is important that they get industry exposure from the first year of their college. My proposal is to engage the students in internship with practicing architects in the summer vacation.
