Manual scavengers are largely illiterate and have no exposure or aptitude for doing business or taking up self employment ventures.  This makes their rehabilitation in alternative occupations very challenging.

\

What are the ways in which the manual scavengers can be gainfully employed in other occupations, so that they do not return to manual scavenging? Participants may share success stories that they may be aware of.

Sir, To promote better understanding and brotherly feelings among Indians , our Schools and Colleges should be encouraged initiate interchange of young children and students as family guests during vacations within India first rather than high end fashionable schools having international student exchange programs. It will start the process of integration from very young and impressionable age. Children can also be asked to write about their experiences and observations in their nation exchange

showing international sympathy can put us into trouble.we must by now strengthen our army and get them prepared rather than lighting candles and creating a emotional trauma.

To rehabilitate people we have to push people to their areas of interest. Women are good in cloth stitching and embroidery work also in making food. Many women can start their own restaurants while many others can be employed in cloth industry(this will also increase the output of cloth industry in India) Govt. should make Housing societies for these people and provide them these kind of resources free for some time till they settle down their business! Same applies to men.
