India International Science Festival (IISF) 2020 is the largest science festival on virtual environment. This this mega science festival is going to be organized during 22-25 December 2020 on Virtual Platform (https://www.scienceindiafest.org/). Nodal organization of IISF 2020 is Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and coordinating Institute is CSIR-National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (CSIR-NISTADS). CSIR, DST, MoES, DBT, ICMR are organizing this programme in association with VijnanaBharati (VIBHA). Theme of IISF 2020 is ‘Science for Self-Reliant India and Global Welfare’. Vision of this IISF is the Promotion of AtmaNirbhar Bharat and Global Welfare through Science, Technology and Innovation.

The key objectives of IISF is
- To promote and build scientific temper among the masses and the young children
- To catalyze and trigger relationship between Science and Society leading to the development of new frontiers of growth both scientifically and economically
- To strengthen nation and to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth in the coming future
- To provide a platform for recognizing contribution of science and technology in global development

Expected Stakeholders:
School Students, Researchers, Teachers, National and International Scientists, Technocrats, Industrialists, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Craftsmen, Artisans, Farmers, Agri-sectors and Healthcare sectors, Exhibitors, Diplomats, Policy Makers.

A nation needs to develop in science and technology so that it can drive out social evils like poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, etc..Science n technology is needed in every sphere of our life. It makes our lives easier and a lot better with the advancement of medicine and analysis on diseases.Scientific knowledge allows us to develop new technologies,solve practical problems, become self reliant eventually help in the development of our country.

One that can be done or proved logically , practically not only caters the practicality of a practitioner but also inculcates the habit of self reliancy or independence. And this is the current need of the hour to motivate our green minds and to make them aware about the holistic approach of science.Young minds are called the 'nation builders and the scientific approach facilitates such young learners to learn better and better. I awe to our nation's initiative of scientific abstract approaches.

am a student of class 11 and as a student it's really very exciting. Even though you know nothing about a topic still the things you see makes your heart overflow with amazement ,"like how it's even possible?",and your mind filled with curiosity. And that's what exactly the young India wants to see. Just an example that everything is possible , like people say miracles do happen when we believe. It makes people dream and dream makes one the inventor and an inventor makes earth a better place.

भारतीय संस्कृति सबसे व्यापक है। अगर यहां का हर बच्चा उसे जाने पहचाने तभी हमारे देश का संपूर्ण विकास संभव है। जब तक हमारे देश के कुछ लोग अपनी संस्कृति को दुत्कारने की बजाय उसकी महानता को समझने लगेंगे तब हमारा देश असली मायनों में विकसित कहलायेगा। हमारे वेदों में विज्ञान के वो अनेक तथ्य, वो अनेक अविष्कार पहले से ही मौजूद हैं, जिन तक वर्तमान समय के वैज्ञानिक पहुंच भी नहीं पाए हैं। बस हमारे देश में कमी है तो अपनी संस्कृति का ज्ञान ना होने की.....🙏🙏🙏
