Every year 27th September is celebrated as World Tourism Day. This year the theme of World Tourism Day is Tourism and Rural Development. Tourism helps rural communities hold onto their unique natural and cultural heritage, supporting conservation projects, including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions or flavours. Tourism has proven to be a lifeline for many rural communities. The sector is not just a leading source of employment, particularly for women and youth but it also provides opportunities for territorial cohesion and socio-economic inclusion for even the most remote regions.
Our villages and the people who live there are a true custodians and manifestation of our culture.
As we work towards more sustainable development of our country, developing related hard and soft infrastructure and promoting tourism in rural India is much required.

Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with MyGov invites you to share your views ideas on Rural India- How it can leverage tourism.

गाँव में पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने,विकसित करने के लिए आवश्यक है कि इस बात पर विशेष ध्यान रखा जाए कि गांव गांव ही बने रहे अर्थात गांव की मासूमियत ,संस्कृति, सभ्यता आदि में बदलाव न आये।बस गांव में निखार लाना है और हर गांव को आत्मनिर्भर बनाना है। शहर की दौड़ती भागती जिंदगी से भाग कर सुकून की चाह में व्यक्ति गांवों की ओर आता है अतः आवश्यक है कि गांव गांव ही रहे शहर न बन्नर लगे।ग्रामीण रंग बिरंगे लोकल चित्रकारी से सुसज्जित घर कुआं, चबूतरा,चौपाल आदि।गांवों में पंचायत भवन के पास ही हस्तकला की दुकानें,

As per the United Nations data, the current population of India is 1,384,123,019 as of Wednesday, October 21, 2020, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data. Seeing fruits and vegetables in the super market we may not understand the value of the product which is cultivate by our rural community by developing rural tourism brings taste of new experience. Costal line Tamil Nadu needs attention Its looks beautifully decorated there are 14 District that share the costal line in Tamil Nadu the Coromandel Coastal plain in the eastern Tamil Nadu states south India, extending over area an area of about 8,800 square miles (22,800 Sq Km )

We must oversee our rural villages instead of big cities, we must focusing the to bring wonderful treasures lays in the hands of nature, whether it may be food, culture, arts rituals, folk dances excites mostly rather can say truly help to bring these people and understand the value of their culture that may bring national integration, since each every state in our country having their own traditional values and culture, we must proud of our rural.

The villagers are deeply religious. They worship a number of gods and goddesses. They devote regular time to prayer and worship, the village priest enjoys great respect. But they are highly orthodox and any change is disliked and opposed. Much kind of superstitions flourish among them. They live in constant fear of ghosts. They believe in a number of omens.
